![]() ALWAYS thread screw, bolts and nuts by hand before using an electric impact wrench on hardware. We utilize a 3-speed electric impact wrench to REMOVE bolts and nuts. The bolts on the bottom edge of the cover are difficult to get to and will take a while to unscrew if you leave the foot well parts on. We did this to gain easier access to the CVT cover. In this How-To, we decided to remove the foot peg, foot well and the support. HOW-TO: CHANGE A CAN-AM RENEGADE CVT BELT Some of the bolt heads may be different sizes. NOTE: You will need to go to your local hardware store and purchase an 8mmx1.25 bolt that is at least 50mm in length to get the CVT secondary clutch sheaves to separate enough to remove the CVT belt.
